Hobbies and Interests:

I am a lover of the performing and fine arts. I enjoy going to symphonies and plays, visiting art exhibits, painting, playing the piano, and singing. When I have free time, I like reading romance novels, watching chick-flicks, and fashion blogging. To destress, I like exercising by lifting weights, and I’ve more recently picked up (salsa) dancing with friend

Liliana Espinoza will be studying novel therapeutic interventions to prevent brain damage and after stroke and traumatic brain injury, involving pharmacological manipulation of potassium ion channels in neurons. In these studies, she will employ immunochemistry, molecular, genetic and electrophysiological approaches.
