Event Details:

We are excited to announce the 6th Annual Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology Graduate Student Research Symposium will be held April 19th and 20th, 2018.  The goal of our annual symposium is to highlight the excellent research being carried out by our students, postdoctoral trainees and faculty.   This year, the Symposium will include 2 days of events which will entail talks by graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and poster presentations.   We are also welcoming visiting students from the Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) School of Medicine - Suwon, South Korea on behalf of Dr. Kim and Dr. Bhat.  This is a great opportunity for us to recognize our exceptional trainees who have not only made outstanding scientific contributions to their field, but also contributed to the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology through leadership and service during the previous calendar year.  We honor one senior graduate student with the John M. Johnson Distinguished Student Award and one postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology Postdoctoral Fellow Excellence Award.  We will also be welcoming Dr. Michael J. Caplan, M.D., Ph.D., as our Distinguished Lecture.  He is the C. N. H. Long Professor of Cellular And Molecular Physiology and Professor of Cell Biology, as well as the Chair of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at the Yale School of Medicine.
