Postdoctoral positions are available starting September 1, 2012 in the laboratory of Dr. Manzoor Bhat to study the genetic and molecular mechanisms of neuron-glial interactions, synaptic development and human neurological disorders. The Bhat laboratory provides a unique environment to carry out parallel studies in two genetic model systems, Drosophila and Mouse. Candidates can choose one or both model systems to work with. We are only interested in self-motivated and hardworking PhD or MD/PhD graduates who have demonstrated understanding of neuroscience, and hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: cellular and/or molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry.
